College kids taking shots of well liquor and chugging $1 drafts of the ''kells brew''. This is the standard weeknight scene of the kells. Wednesday is BC night, Thursday is BU night. Fridays and Saturdays attract both college kids and young professional locals.

It is impossible to get to the bar when the place is packed, with college kids crowding for $1 drafts and leaving the bar most often double or triple fisting. Luckily, there are 3 bars to choose from. 2 on the upstairs, 1 is a chill bar scene while the other is a dark, loud dance floor. The basement, often rented out to private college parties (especially for holloween and christmas), is a bar that turns into a semi-dance floor later in the evening.

The scene is most certainly college, I would not attend if you are over 22 years of age, especially on weeknights. This was one of my favorites while I was at BC, though.

Otherwise, I can't think of a place i was drunk at more than the kells during colelge. However, don't be deceived....they will not let you in dressed in a sports jersey.

You can have a great night for $15.
